Publicity and Promotion
The collection and communication of relevant information to specific areas is referred to as publicity and promotion. This practice has been an ancient tradition of India, or Bharat. Shri Narad Muni, considered the first journalist of Vedic times, serves as an ideal model for Kalyan Ashram’s publicity strategy. He would travel from place to place, gathering information and sharing it with the appropriate people and communities.
In keeping with contemporary methods, it is essential to highlight our thoughts, activities, initiatives, and programs while also addressing the challenges and issues faced by Vanvasis. Through these efforts, Kalyan Ashram strives to bring attention to both the opportunities and difficulties in tribal regions.
Both urban and tribal Karyakartas (volunteers) are expected to organize various publicity programs. The general public has come to recognize the significance of tribal art forms and remains informed through these events. In today’s digital age, where information must reach the right people and places instantly, the internet has become one of our primary tools.
We utilize various mediums, including publications in regional languages, the creation of literature, PowerPoint presentations, CDs, and websites, to spread awareness. Kalyan Ashram Karyakartas also organize press conferences on significant occasions related to Vanvasi celebrations.
While we have made significant strides in covering major aspects of tribal lifestyles, there is immense potential to further highlight the challenges and constraints faced by Vanvasis. If Vanvasis are to achieve national levels of development, their struggles must be brought to light. The scope for publicizing tribal life is vast, with endless opportunities to explore and expand awareness.
